Spatial Systems utilized aerial imagery dated March, 2004 to create the building footprints data. Upon receipt of the building foot prints from Spatial Systems, (SSA) Worcester County GIS Anaylst has been doin QC of the Building footprints relative the most current aerial imagery available. Worcester County GIS began to QC this data. Currenttly this data has been QC'd as per the current aerials that Worcester Co. has. (Currently 2016, March) Worcester GIS is currently in process of QCing buildings to 2016 aerials. Approx 85% complete. see attribute table field "source" to verify if 2013 or 2016 aerial NOTE: Ocean City has not been QC'd to the 2016 aerials, however some small portion has been, see the source field in the table to determine this.OC was not a priority for our QC, since we have in the past received updated data from OC, and would have to delete our efforts. Her contact email is kzera@ococean.com In the future when the county receives updated aerials, the building will be QC'd to the new aerials. The purpose of this dataset is to show not only the building footprints of all addressed structures throughout Worcester County, Maryland, it is also to show the geographic distribution of all addressed buildings throughout the County. en This dataset contains representations of every building in Worcester county larger than the approximate minimum of 100 square feet. These polygon representations of building footprints were constructed using perpendicular line and square and finish line creation tools to ensure geometric accuracy and consistency. Building placement, dimensions, and boundaries were determined from Spring 2004 1 ft resolution digital orthophotos. Orthophotos have a 5 ft degree of horizontal accuracy, therefore data placement has the same degree of accuracy.
